Everything about our journey aboard Zafiro was excellent—from the outstanding crew and comfortable accommodations to the delicious meals and unforgettable excursions. The naturalist guides were incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming, and gave us a meaningful introduction to the local culture and the region's natural resources.

This trip was a gift from my daughter, and I have to admit I was initially skeptical. It far exceeded my expectations, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment while meeting wonderful, interesting people along the way.

We had a fantastic time!  Everyone in our group agreed that it exceeded our expectations. As for myself, I very much enjoyed the combination of the cultural experience with the intense experience with nature. The butterfly and bee project, the shama, and the tree planting all illustrated the values these communities hold; seeing how they advance with so few resources was inspiring.  These experiences felt very real because our guides, Daniel and Victor, are from the local region, extremely knowledgeable, and deeply committed to these communities. I almost felt uncomfortable at times by how hard they worked!

Of course, the food on La Perla was excellent.  And I can say that the entire crew paid attention to every detail. The 'famous' musical bands that played several evenings were a blast.

We just finished an amazing cruise on La Perla. Everything was amazing and this was all made possible by a fantastic crew including naturalist guides Roger and Erik and our cruise director Jorge. Would highly recommend.

Our 8-day, 7-night journey aboard the Zafiro exceeded every expectation. From seamless transfers and exceptional service to luxurious accommodations and outstanding cuisine, every detail was thoughtfully curated.

Exploring the Amazon during high-water season provided incredible opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. We were fortunate to spot sloths, pink and grey river dolphins, numerous monkey species, macaws, and even a harpy eagle. The excursions, cultural visits, piranha fishing, and conservation activities made the experience even more meaningful.

A special thanks to the naturalist team and crew, whose knowledge, passion, warmth, and professionalism made every moment unforgettable. Before the trip, we were honestly quite anxious. Being in the Amazon jungle isn’t exactly an everyday experience, and with only very limited reviews available online, we didn’t really know what to expect. We traveled on La Perla, and from the very first moment, we were positively surprised.
Everything felt thoughtful and well considered, from start to finish. Little details made a big difference — like ice cold towels waiting for you after excursions in the humidity.
The food deserves special mention. It was genuinely some of the best food we’ve had in our lives. Every dish was flavorful, creative, and beautifully prepared. Huge compliments to the chef.
Our cabin was also beautiful and very comfortable, and every day we found other small surprises in the room.
The guides were absolutely wonderful — knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely passionate. From beginning to end, we felt safe, cared for, and in very good hands. There is so much staff on board, and you really feel how attentive and present everyone is.
For us, three nights were perfect, although if we had the option, we might have happily extended it to four.
We would wholeheartedly recommend this cruise to anyone.

My family of four went on the Zafiro for three nights. Amazing experience! The boat itself gorgeous and very high end. Beautiful bar and dining room. The cabins are very nice and hot showers were appreciated after we spent 3 days camping beforehand!

Daniel and Roger as guides were superb. We saw monkeys, hawks, anacondas, slothes, piranhas, and more. On top of the wildlife, the crew did a great job teaching us about the Amazon people and culture.

Food was great as well and varied. Service top notch. It's pricey but well worth it imo!

Would give a 7 out of 5 stars if I could. Service was perfect. They thought of every detail from early morning wakeups with coffee and snacks to cleaning your boots after the hike. Naturalists had an incredible to spot wildlife. Literally saw over a hundred river dolphins; they were everywhere. Food was great as well and rooms were comfortable. Days were jampacked with activities in a good way. Far exceeded expectations. Took the Perla 3 night cruise.

I had the opportunity to be on board La Perla, and I absolutely loved it! The excursions were amazing, I was blown away by the beauty of the Amazon, and I learned so much from the guides – they’re incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. The whole team was super friendly and made everything feel cozy and welcoming.

We spent a fantastic 7 days on La Perla. Our room was cozy and comfortable with a beautiful view. The staff on La Perla was wonderful, very welcoming and helpful. The guides were very well informed and taught us many interesting things about the flora and fauna. Our top wildlife sightings were an Anaconda, many pink and grey river dolphins, wooly monkeys, macaws and different tamarin species. All of the activities were fun including swimming in the river, fishing for pirañas, releasing butterflies, planting trees and walks through the rainforest. The staff treated us to sundowners on the river and music in the bar before dinner. The entire experience exceeded our expectations! We would highly recommend La Perla for your Amazon adventure!

Excellent, amazon cruise. saw sloths, birds, monkeys. Went piranha fishing and got to eat it. The tour guides and la pearla staff were amazing. Nice rooms with big windows. Went on a tour of the marketplace in iquitos and ride on the tuc-tuck like vehicles. Also got us to the airport and checked us into our flights.

I signed on for a 3 day trip on Zafiro with a friend. We hoped to see birds and wildlife and then return to the luxurious comfort of the boat for rest and great food. This cruise delivered all we wanted, but also took us into river villages to see projects designed to improve the lives of the farmers and fishermen living on the banks. This Peruvian enterprise is so luxurious that I felt a bit out of place with my backpacker aesthetic, but no one on the boat made me feel anything but welcome. The comfortable daily tours were led by experts and we would return to Zafiro to be greeted by trays of refreshments.

Wonderful 7 day trip on Zafiro Amazonian cruise. The crew, food and naturalists were outstanding. We saw an amazing number of different animals, reptiles, birds and fish and met with local communities and donated school supplies. We ended by visiting the Manatee conservation center which does an excellent job of rehabilitation with visit fees and donations. Trip of a lifetime!

The 4-day, 3-night cruise on La Perla was an unforgettable experience. A beautifully organized and curated experience. I have no complaints. Staff were fun, professional, and knowledgeable. The food was absolutely outstanding, probably the best I have ever had while traveling. I was surprised to find there were kids' options for every meal, which we were okay not having, but my son adored this and ate so well! Thank you for everything
